Neuropathy Treatment in Henderson, NV

Most people who come to our Henderson office for neuropathy have already been told some version of the same thing: it is what it is, here is a prescription, come back in six months. They arrive not because they want another opinion but because nobody has actually measured anything.

Where we are

The Henderson office is at 1010 Wigwam Parkway, Suite 100, just off the 215 and a few minutes from Green Valley Ranch. Most of our neuropathy patients here come from Green Valley, Anthem, Seven Hills, and the surrounding Henderson neighborhoods. Dr. Scott Yoshizaki leads the office. The phone is (725) 255-7333.

The evaluation is the part that matters

We test six sensory channels on each foot: cold, pinwheel, 10-gram monofilament, vibration, heat, and electrical sensation. Balance is scored separately. Those results convert into a sensory-loss percentage and a severity rating, so instead of a vague sense that things are worse than last year, you have a number.

We also take thermal images of the feet and lower legs. Temperature is a direct readout of blood flow, and in a condition driven substantially by circulation, being able to see where flow drops off is more useful than any description a patient can give.

You leave with a written report of all of it, whether or not you decide to start care. That is deliberate. If you take it to your primary care physician or to a second opinion, good.

Why circulation is the target

Nerves carry their own dedicated blood supply, a network of small vessels running within and alongside the nerve. Those are exactly the vessels most affected by elevated blood sugar, high blood pressure, and age. A nerve starved of blood conducts poorly long before it stops conducting altogether.

That is why the treatment here is aimed at the feet and calves directly rather than at pain signaling. Medications that dampen pain have a legitimate place and we are not against them. They just do not change the supply line.

What treatment involves

Near-infrared therapy applied to the feet and legs for local circulation. Electrical nerve stimulation. Class IV laser. Chiropractic care where spinal involvement is contributing. Yoga-based movement therapy, because the calf muscle pump is a real part of getting blood back out of the lower leg and people with painful feet move less.

We retest at intervals rather than asking how you feel. Nerve fibers regrow at about a millimeter a day, which is roughly an inch a month, and change on that timescale is genuinely hard to perceive from the inside. The numbers see it before you do.

Getting evaluated

Nevada is a direct-access state, so you do not need a referral to be seen. Call the Henderson office at (725) 255-7333. We are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We also run the same program at our southwest Las Vegas and North Las Vegas offices if either is closer to you.
