Peripheral neuropathy is a condition where nerves are damaged causing weakness, burning pain, numbness, tingling, and debilitating balance problems. The damage to the nerves can be caused by many different problems in the body. Poor blood flow to the nerves, toxic levels of sugar in the blood (diabetes), chronic infections, pesticide exposure and genetic variants are a few of the causes of this debilitating condition. What can I expect on the first visit?

On your intial visit, we will take you through a detailed exam that will give us an in-depth look at blood flow and sensory function of your extremities. From this evaluation, we will not only determine if you have peripheral neuropathy, but also how severe it is. Once the severity is determined, a treatment plan will be given that combines home & in-office treatment to restore your nerves and blood flow back to their optimal function.

Electromagnetic Infrared Therapy - One of the treatment technologies we use to increase blood flow and repair the nerve is our new Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT). The light therapy signals the production of angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is the creation of the new blood vessels, which is needed to repair nerve damage.
Class IV Laser Therapy - Laser therapy can offer several benefits for spinal and extremity conditions, including reduced pain and swelling, improved range of motion, and accelerated tissue repair. It's a non-invasive treatment that uses focused light energy to stimulate the body's natural healing processes.
Yoga Therapy - With gentle one-on-one guidance from one of our Yoga Therapists, your 15 minute sessions will help restore strength and balance back to your feet and legs. It is extremely gentle and designed to help people with neuropathy feel confident in their movement.
Electrostimulation - We use state of the art digital electro therapeutic stimulation to assist in the growth of the nerves called Nerve Re-Education. This is used by the Cancer Centers of America in order to help those going through Chemotherapy rebuild the nerves. Nerve Re-Education can even be done at home, so therapy can be done daily!
