Car Accident Chiropractor in North Las Vegas
If you were in a collision anywhere in the north valley, the two things that matter most in the first week are getting examined properly and having that examination written down properly. We do both at our West Craig Road office.
Where we are
3930 W. Craig Road, Suite 105, near Craig Ranch Regional Park. Dr. Lesley Vance leads the office. We serve North Las Vegas, Aliante, Centennial Hills, and the surrounding north valley. The phone is (702) 389-3873.
This part of the valley funnels a great deal of traffic between the I-15 and the 215, and the collision volume reflects it. Rear-end impacts at interchange speeds are the most common thing we see here.
Come in within the first couple of days
Soft tissue injury runs on an inflammatory timeline. Torn or strained tissue does not hurt immediately, and the swelling and stiffness that follow build over the first 24 to 72 hours. Almost everyone who tells us they felt fine at the scene also tells us the second morning was the worst.
There is a second reason not to wait. A gap between the crash date and your first examination is the first thing an adjuster points at. It is a weak argument medically and a very effective one practically, and the way to remove it is simply not to leave the gap.
What we examine
The neck, because it takes the worst of most impacts and because the facet joints and ligaments injured during whiplash are a documented source of pain that lasts. The mid back and rib joints, which are the most commonly missed region and often the reason breathing hurts. The low back, where the lap belt turns the lumbar spine into a hinge. And the limbs, because bracing against the wheel loads the shoulder, elbow and wrist hard, and the knee has only a few inches to travel before it meets the dash.
Attorneys and liens
We handle attorney and lien cases routinely and coordinate with your attorney and any other treating providers throughout care. If you do not have an attorney and want one, we can point you toward firms that handle these cases. If you would rather not involve one, that is fine too and we treat you the same way.
Our documentation protocol puts the initial visit note in the record within 24 to 48 hours of your first appointment, which is what attorneys ask us for and what claims turn on months later.
If the car looks fine
Get examined anyway. Federal standards require bumpers to survive low-speed impacts without visible damage, and a bumper that does not crush absorbs less energy, which means more of it reaches you. Vehicle damage has been repeatedly shown to be a poor predictor of occupant injury.
Call (702) 389-3873. We are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
